12 weeks of life

To be honest it's hard to imagine that you are still alive or that I am still around. You have been ... Very unsettled. You have hardly been sleeping, every 40min you wake up and scream the whole house down. I even had to have a day off work because you kept us awake all night. As you know Daddy doesn't have much patience for that nonsense so you had better thank your mother for all the care and love she gave you because I was ready to give you away.

You are a little bit better now and have been sleeping for a couple of hours at a time.  It is really weird that you keep waking and your mum goes in and pats you on the bum and almost instantly you go to sleep.

The other day was an exciting day for me. I was able to feed you for the first tie using the bottle. I had tried a couple of times but you kept looking at me and screaming. I don't think you understood how I was able to feed you.  Yesterday I feed you two bottles and you just kept on looking at me and smiling. I'm hoping that I'll be able to take you on some adventures.

We also had a Japanese student for 12 days last week. His name was Kazuki and he was 15 years old. We did lots of different things and you were very good at night not waking him up. Every time you sat on my lap and looked at him you had a huge smile. You really seemed to enjoy having a big brother for the 12days.

You also had another huge adventure a couple of weeks back. You went camping.  It was the Churches Camp and we decided to take you along on your first tenting experience.  We were very impressed with how you handled it even though it was extremely cold. Your mother didn't pack enough blankets for us so we ended up taking you out of the cot and using you as a hot water bottle.  Everyone had lots of fun holding you and we enjoyed getting out of the house and camping.
