Your first prick.

I hate to say it Emily but throughout your life there will be lots of pricks. Today you had your first two.

You and mum picked me up at 3pm straight after school and we all headed to the doctor.  Once there you had your first doctors visit and they checked you all over. The. Midwife had already checked you over but the doctor wanted to aswel.  A quick weigh on the scales and you now weigh 6.290kgs.

It was then off to the nurse for your vaccinations. Because we love you so much we even decided to give you an extra one. It was an oral one which was lucky for you.  Then it was time for a little prick in each leg. I thinks it's safe to say that you didn't enjoy them but you stopped crying almost straight away. You were very brave.

Later that night it was another first. Your first chiefs game. The chiefs will be your favourite team and tonight they are playing the crusaders. You got yourself all ready for the game and we both watched with fingers crossed.

With 2mins to go the score was 10-11 to the chiefs. Then a breakaway and we won 10-18. A great start to the season. Glad your not bad luck for the team.

Two best friends

At first mittens didn't like you. She wouldn't come near you or your car seat we would leave in entrance way.
But then one day you were crying on my knee and mittens came over to us. She rubbed my leg and then jumped up into the arm of the chair, meowed and brushed against you trying to calm you down. Was very sweet.

Now.... I can't leave you along anywhere because she likes to sit near you.

She loves all your mats and likes to rub against your bouncy chair when your in it chatting to yourself. At midnight when your meant to be feeding quietly but choose to gurgle or scream, mittens wanders down the hall into the room with us.  She's turning into your best friend!!

1 Month Old

Day ThirtyTime goes by so fast. Its hard to believe that you are already a whole month old. It wont be long and you will be walking, talking, and leaving home.

You have been out lots and had lots of visitors. You went to the supermarket on just your third day in this world.  You have gone for a run with me almost ever day and so far we have done about 40km. You have been to visit all the other babies from pre-natal class and even though you were the youngest, you were one of the biggest there.
Smile
You are developing really good neck control and can hold your head up for short periods of time. You have also just started focusing on different objects and when we talk to you you now look at us. You have also started to smile at your mum and dad. It is really a cute thing to watch.

You have had lots of baths and showers and you seem to really enjoy the water.

You had your first stay away from mum and dad when we left you with your Granny. She looked after you while we went to the supermarket and to the local cafe for a drink. It was a really funny feeling being away from you but you didn't really notice it.

Ok so I have to apologies. The other night I was making loud noised and you were jumping. I kept doing it because you make the cuties face... unfortunately after about the 5th time you were over it and started to cry... no scream is more like it. You screamed for over an hour.

Oh and also you wished your Aunty Kim a Happy Birthday.  Well I think that is about all that has happened in the first month.

Day Twenty Eight

Next month... Vaccinations.

Three weeks on

There has been lots of things that have happened in your first weeks. We had to take you to the doctor to get him to look at your tongue. The midwife thought that you were a bit tongue tied. That is where your tongue is linked to the bottom of your mouth to much. Anyway the doc had a look and decided that he couldn't do anything about it. He just lazered your top lip instead. You were a little upset while this was going on but once it was over and you were feeding again you were happy.

Thie past weeks have been a little challenging trying to get you to sleep. You don't really enjoy sleeping at night and it's a bit of a. It's ion. You like to scream ... And poop.

You have been on lots of different trips. Around the lake, to the shops, to the supermarket, and to granny's work

You have been having lots of showers with your dad and have had a couple of baths. You seem to really enjoy the water and have even fallen asleep once of twice.
