Little chicken we have learnt that your father doesn't handle you being sick. It was a long weekend and you spent most nights tossing and turning and wriggling to scratch that you bottom and sleep did not happen.

You're a chicken
Well it's finally happening. You ar making your transition into a chicken. We have had many children before and they all seem to go through the same thing. The doctor calls it 'Chicken Pox', we call it the 'chicken Change'. Apparently it's very common in naughty girls for then to go through this. You used to love crawling around and putting anything in your mouth, I guess that is how you caught it.
The rash first appeared one Saturday morning and we hoped it would be nothing. Slowly it grew and spread all over your body. By Saturday night you were crying and uncomfortable. We knew what was happening to you so started taking you out to the coup so you would be use to your new home once the change was complete. This seemed to upset you a little but the other children/chicken seemed to welcome you.
Sunday night was still no good and now you even have your first feathers. You were going to be a cheeky little girl and I was looking forward to taking you lots of places....oh well...
Well the transition is finally over and you are now a Chicken. You seem to enjoy living outside. Your just one of the flock now.

Labour weekend at Whangamata
With Christmas creeping up, Poppa and Daddy planned to do some cabin building at the beach. We have convincing won the battle to have as at the beach for the first time ever! Will be great to have a relaxing day in one spot.
Anyway this meant that you and I could spend some time playing and enjoying the sunshine while they worked.
The wind was cool but the sun hot so we decided the ocean was too cool for you gorgeous and instead comindered the wheelbarrow to make you a paddling pool. And for princesses we added a touch of hot water so you didn't get too cold.
Their was market down at the RSA so off when trotted and scored ourselves some bargains of fudge and knitting. We hit up the funky junction and grabbed some milkshakes in town.
When we returned the boys were slowing down. You grabbed out your tools to play them An encouraging tune and next thing we knew a room was erected. Fantastic Willis manor was built.
Your darling uncles turned up sunday and dad was released to play with us. We decided to
Head down to the beach and see if you would play in the water and play with the sand.
You loved being buried in the sand and wiggling you toes so daddy could find them. "Boo!" You would scream.
Can't wait for summer to come and to take you back down to the beach

Space morning tea
Today all your friends from space came over. Everyone is looking so big and all have different personalities, however none as cheeky as you! They LOVED your ball pit. Koby couldn't get enough of it although he couldn't sit up and so just swam around in it smiling at everyone.
Lukah and Kimberly came over from te puke and it was great to see them. Lukah and you got up to mischief. They all loved playing with your dad. He blew bubbles for them and grabbed any stray kids who wandered into the kitchen.

Father's Day
Yes that time of year has come around again, Father's Day! And this year it meant dad got to partake in the festivities.
We went to whagamata with poppa for the whangamata half run and mum did the 5km (athlete in training). However our little Willis family have to share a room at the batch as poppa has not built your cabin yet. This meant you did not sleep well and by association, we did not sleep well!!
So with a bright and early start, you greeted dad in bed for Father's Day!
After breakfast in bed you gave poppa his Father's Day present and a big kiss. What an adventure! After Saturday run day of pouring ran, today was a beautiful
Sunny day! But with work tomorrow we had to head home early.
You have been to the beach 4 times but have not yet been down to the sea side and played in the sand. So today we stopped by and let you squish your toes in the sand. You love your daddy very much.
Even though he says he willMake you sleep in the coup, he loves you to the moon and back as well!

I can explore!
I can crawl now so I can explore! It was a nice sun shiny weekend and Dad was out planting the veggie garden. I convinced mum that it was a great idea to take me outside to explore the grass and gardens.

Your start to (sort of) Crawl
It has been a while now and you have been doing lots of moving and grooving but its mostly been backwards with only the occasional forwards flop. Today you actually got up on all 4's and started to move forward with purpose.
A great moment for us but also a little worrying as we now have to keep things off the ground.
